Welcome to the New MMOGCHART.COM

We’re back!  As you can see, the website has gotten a complete makeover and a new WordPress blogging engine.  Feel free to look around and let me know if anything is broken.  I’m currently working on a new update to my MMOG subscription research that I hope will be online within the next week or two.

  1. There’s a minor problem with the post headline if the window is too narrow. Let me know if there are any other issues.

  2. Ah… I was wondering when you’d update your site again. When I heard the news that WoW hit 10 million ( http://blizzard.com/press/080122.shtml ) I was thinking that something would happen here.

  3. Getting updates from companies like Blizzard isn’t the hard part. :) It’s trying to get some more recent data from companies like Disney, EA, SOE, and Turbine that takes time and effort.

  4. It’s really good to see you back in the game. I wish you all the best of luck and lot of honest contributors.

    Take care.

  5. Thanks Mercutio. Your game will be updated too!

  6. Welcome back! Your work on subscriber data is amazing, I can’t wait to see a new version when you get the free time to compile it =D

    Cheers

  7. You’re back! Wonderful! This info is really important to lots of virtual world researchers out there (like me)… Hope all is/goes well.

  8. I’m happy to see that the site is back in action and I also can’t wait to see the new data :)

    Greetings

  9. Hooray…
Now, I am dying for some numbers specifically for LOTRO and EQ2…I so hope you can get good info there.
This site has been a pain
    http://mmogdata.voig.com/
As they have hemmed and hawed over various numbers…but specifically over LOTRO, and it makes them look bad…while your charts felt more realistic..
    Bring it on
    Later

  10. Yip yip hooray!

  11. Good to see you back in action mate,

Sent you through the contact details if you would be interested in tackling Entropia Universe :)

Look forward to keeping up with future updates. Good Work !

  12. Wow, I’m glad to have the original subscription counter back in the business. The numbers for Turbine’s products especially interest me. Their founding member rates for LOTR was a new marketing strategy and I’d love to see a breakdown of their current subscriptions and how many of them are lifetime and reduce rate. Probably impossible to get it but who knows when you find a leak.

  13. Thanks Relmstein. Yeah getting a breakdown of that at this stage is probably impossible but I hope to at least have a preliminary subscription figure. Over the years more and more companies have agreed to cooperate with my research, so I remain guardedly optimisitc.
