2008 ION Game Conference

I’m going to be giving a presentation at the 2008 ION Game Conference in Seattle, WA, May 13-15. The hour-long lecture, An Analysis of MMOG Subscription Growth, will essentially be a historical overview of my subscription tracking to date, updated with the latest data, as well as some projections for the future. If you’re going to attend, please feel free to say hello to me afterwards!

MMOGCHART.COM also received a small sidebar article in the March 2008 issue of Game Developer Magazine.

    As for when the next update will be for the charts and analysis, I’m hoping to put something out in the next week. After that, there might not be a new update until after the conference May; hopefully NCSoft will have released their quarterly data by then.

    I believe this month NPD is to release it’s first “online subscriptions” data. Do you know if this has become available yet? I have tried to see if it is available anywhere, but nothing yet…

    I’m afraid I don’t know the answer either; I haven’t heard anything about it since NPD’s announcement. I hope I can get a free copy as a courtesy…
